Fine Sorter MikroSort® AF
Technical description:
The MikroSort® AF was developed for sorting plastic
material flakes (PET, PE, PVC, particle size range
0 to 15 mm). Further applications include dry bulk
materials such as rock salt, marble, burnt lime, quartz/feldspar
and fire-resistant materials (particle size range
1 to 10 mm.
The MikroSort® AF has a working width of 900 mm and
scans the bulk materials while they are falling by
means of a color line camera. The information obtained
is transmitted, via an industrial computer, to 224
extremely fast compressed air valves each of which
serves one compressed air nozzle. Parts to be rejected
are evaluated by position, form and size and blown
out of the material flow. Depending on the material,
particle size distribution and the quantity of rejected
material, between 1 and 10 tons of material can be
sorted per hour.
Advantages of the MikroSort® AF:
- Inexpensive sorting of very fine bulk materials
by color and brightness is possible.
- Even slight color differences (e.g. blue, bright
blue, bright green) are detected reliably and
are available as sorting parameters.
- Rejection rates of up to 2000 particles/second
are realized in continuous operation.
- The material yield is maximized by accurate
detection, exact sorting and re-sorting of the
rejected material.
- Fine non-ferrous and ferrous metal particles
are detected parallel to the color sorting and
discharged in the rejected material flow.
- Thanks to the accurate detection and the fast
and quick activation of the valves, the sorting
operation is performed at a very low specific
compressed air pressure.
- Low-maintenance operation thanks to automatic
cleaning system.
